WWII Winter White Pullover with Fur Hood and Gloves

A set of winter whites "C" Broad Arrow marked pullover with fur hood and its waist belt. The grey elastic cuffs are both present and in good shape. Yellowed with age, it needs a bit of bleach to whiten it up, but carefully, without destroying the fur or the marking. Consult a conservationist for this job. WWII British Touque 1940

The standard issued British wool cap, most famous for its use by Commandos, was universal to British troops. It is not clear if Canadians were ever issued these caps, but the 1st Canadian Corps was in the 8th Army supply chain in Italy and certainly CANLOAN Officers served in British units. Is it possible they were worn at Dieppe? A fair example offered here with some mothing and dated 1940.  read more

Canadian Guides 1911 Officer's Wolseley Helmet

Offered is a rare Wolseley cork helmet with the puggaree of the Canadian Guides (later to become the Royal Canadian Intelligence Corps). The helmet has a stained white outer shell that needs treatment by a qualified conservator to clean up. The spike is correct for the period and the leather chin strap is missing. GGBG 1907 Forage Cap

A very clean example of the GGBG Forage cap introduced in 1907 and dated 1910. The liner is complete, the exterior has faint moth tracks on the rear of the white band, not visible in the pic it is so faint, and no holes at all. Offered is a Field Officer cap to a member of the RCR. The peak of the cap has a bullion wire border indicating field or senior officer rank. The outer body has some small pulls and a small moth hole on the left panel, but otherwise clean and with the correct buttons. The badge has some green oxidation and can be easily replaced.
