Early Canadian Militia Officer's Patrol Tunic c.1907

The tunic offered here is an early version of the blue Patrol Jacket adopted by both Infantry and Cavalry alike pre WWI to replace the old pattern laced patrol jacket. This tunic was limited to Officers and Senior NCOs. It has Canadian Militia Officer Gilt Buttons, Lieutenant pips and Elgin Regiment collar dogs. All in good condition and an early example of these tunics. The Cavalry often wore chainmail as epaulettes, but some units did not. The Elgins were infantry at this time. These tunics were universal with some units having unique distinctions, but normally the insignia was the unit indicator.
