This canteen was the last pattern manufactured prior to the introduction of the 1874 Italian Style water bottle. What dates the canteen is the raise side wood panels. Operations Manual Dated 1924

An operations regulation manual from the 1920s that laid out the principals of war and operational phases, etc. Basically a training manual for officer with doctrinal theory.
