Canadian 1845 Infantry Sword (Halifax)
Offered is a lovely Maritime Canadian Militia sword marked to the distributer Bell & Anderson of Halifax Nova Scotia. The blade is gorgeous with an fine etched blade with VR cypher and an undamaged edge. The hilt no longer retains its gilt, but it is in very good condition and oddly sports a finished wood grip. Victorian Staff Officer Binoculars, Pouch and Shoulder Belt
These pouches and belts were worn by Commonwealth officers in Light Infantry Bns of the late 19th Century. Worn with some crazing, the pouch retains its black finish and its VR badge. The Binoculars are a good fit and are functional. The cross belt is named with unit and has correct brass furniture. A nice example for units like the 13th Bn. The RMC Hockey team was raised in 1886 and was well known for its athletic ability. The team was known as the Paladins and had a long standing rivalry with the Queen's University team.
