WWI Field Modified Waist Belt

A WWI 1908 shoulder strap modified into a waist belt to keep the soldiers pants up. In WWI soldiers were issued suspenders for their trousers or leather belts. Web belts for this purpose did not get issued during this war. A similar belt was issued in WWII.  read more

Offered is an eye piece for a scope for eith an officer or a sniper. These eye pieces were carried in a leather tube attached to a full scope as part of the kit. The ther sleeve is missing its lid, but the slide that would attach to the parent scope strap is present. 48th Highlander WWI era Pipe Banner

Offered is a rare pipe banner to the 48th Highlanders with the Regimental crest on a blue ground and the crest of the clan Fraser on a red ground of silk, the hole being bordered in bullion fringe. Highland Regimental tradition has it that when an officer is promoted to the rank of Captain or Major they buy a pipe banner for one of the pipers to carry with the officer's family crest.
