Old Colours Never Die

Old Colours Never Die

An important book on the history of all of the Canadian Army's Colours, Guidons and Standards, the background on their presentation, where they reside and much more. This paperback copy is illustrated with pictures of the few colours that survive today.

This book was written by PM Steven Harper's father who live in Alberta and traveled the country to research this book. If you want to know why Steven Harper was so involved in bringing many of the traditions back to the CAF and the battle honours for the War of 1812, you now know the influence. When doing the research for my Regiment's book this was a god send to pin point what happened to the WWI colours of our Perpetuated units. It covers the period 1812 to the present and is in good condition.
