Early Rifle Officer Snake Sword Belt c.1870

Offered is an early officer black belt with a silver snake buckle. The leather is supple, there is some chafing and honest wear with both original sword straps in place. The buckle loop has come free due to rot in the thread. Some TLC and minor repair is required to put this back together. This set of Binoculars is typical of those manufactured in the US for the Canadian War effort. The American manufacturer marked binoculars and carrier are in great condition and have their neck strap. The leather case is C broad Arrow marked. A WWI 1908 shoulder strap modified into a waist belt to keep the soldiers pants up. In WWI soldiers were issued suspenders for their trousers or leather belts. Web belts for this purpose did not get issued during this war. A similar belt was issued in WWII.  read more

RMC Officer's Helmet Plate c.1930

A near mint example with its gilding intact and both original lugs. Most of the WW2 Professional Officers and general staff were trained at RMC and wore these badges as Cadets prior to the war.
