Northamptonshire Yeomanry Tarleton Helmet c.1800

Offered here is a rare Napoleonic era headgear of the British Army. Colonel Tarleton, who served in the American Revolution, designed this headdress for his Light Dragoons and by the end of the 18th century it was adopted across the British Army for both Regular and Militia Cavalry and the Royal Horse Artillery. 1845 Infantry Officer Sword - Marked Montreal

A very nice early 1845 sword with a nice patina and decent blade with one chip. The Hilt is sound, and the fish skin grip wire wrapped. The scabbard is in good condition, with the sword adorned with a lanyard.  read more

Victorian Staff Officer Binocular Pouch and Shoulder Belt

These pouches were worn by British and Commonwealth staff officers from 1870 to 1900 in light brown leather to carry small binoculars. They wore light brown sword belts with light brown sabretache with the same insignia emblazoned in on the flap as well. This pattern can also be seen worn by the Royal Canadian Dragoons and many of the Light Horse or Mounted Rifle units of the late 18th Century...  read more

WWI Officer Riding Boots with Spurs

A nice set of WWI riding boots typical of the type issed and used by Officers in the field and behind the lines on parade or on horseback. Every officer was issued a horse during the war, however, line officers usually lost them to the Artillery or other services due to the nature of the static trenches and the high fatality of equine resources.
