A very well preserve portrait of one of Britain's most famous generals of the late Victorian era. Large frame measures about 30" by 36". He drowned in 1916 when his ship struck a mine.

Imperial German Army 121st Regiment

This Regiment was a Wurttemberg regiment of the 26th Division, XIII Corps in the assault against the CEF at Mount Sorrel 2 June 1916. The 4th CMR were destroyed in this battle with only 70 men standing after the battle.  read more

These manuals were printed and issued to all arms from recruit to first level trade schools and specialist training. Once the soldier finished his schooling he would have this book as a reference through his career. This manual is specific to basic aircrew training and would be used by both a air and ground crew. WWI 3rd Light Bavarian Cavalry Regiment Officer Board

This unit was with the 1st Bavarian Reserve Division at Vimy on the right of the attack. These cavalry units were employed as scouts and skirmishers dismounted. A rare board with the rank of Capt. Thread is darkened and soiled from use with pink backing indicating the unit.  read more

23 Field Artillery Regiment Shoulder Strap

The 23 Regiment was at Vimy on the 9 April with the right flanking division to the 1st Bavarian Reserve Division. Although not in the direct line of fire, it is likely that these guns were brought to bare on the Canadian Corps once it was realized the German line was disintegrating.
