23 Field Artillery Regiment Shoulder Strap

The 23 Regiment was at Vimy on the 9 April with the right flanking division to the 1st Bavarian Reserve Division. Although not in the direct line of fire, it is likely that these guns were brought to bare on the Canadian Corps once it was realized the German line was disintegrating. This is a colour board with field gray backing that indicates its field use. There is one small moth hole on the back.
