Display of a FlintLock Mechanism

A Lock plate with all of its functional components and a flint mounted on a stand to show the inner workings of the lock. I do not know the nationality, I do not recognize any markings and the brass lock plate is unmarked. A very interesting display piece for a gun cabinet or a shelf item.  read more

A fine photograph of the very basic dress uniform of the CFA. What stands out is the rare belt buckle consisting of a simple grenade. I have seen these on the market, and they are often sold as French Napoleonic plates, when in fact they are a local Canadian Militia veriant.  read more
