1860 US Army Cavalry Sword Emerson and Silver Trenton 1865

A typical 1860 US Army Cavalry sword with a worn blade, having a gray patina and some chips along the cutting edge. Marked Emerson and Silver Trenton 1865. The Hilt outer guard bar has been bent slightly outwards, the wire wrapped leather grip in good shape. The guard bars are often found bent on these swords, but never much to take notice at first sight. The scabbard has a worn dark patina and is complete. A good example of this famous sword pattern.
