WWI Field Modified Waist Belt

A WWI 1908 shoulder strap modified into a waist belt to keep the soldiers pants up. In WWI soldiers were issued suspenders for their trousers or leather belts. Web belts for this purpose did not get issued during this war. A similar belt was issued in WWII.
