1872 Cavalry Carbine Sling with Hook

The Spencer, Sharps and Springfield Carbines issued during the Indian Wars were equipped with sling rings and shoulder sling to carry. This example is all complete and in good condition with supple leather and a nice finish overall. A great example of a rare piece of kit from this era. These were worn with both the 1872 belt rig and later patterns of kit for these conflicts and are identified from the Civil war slings by their narrower leather belt.
