1895 Canteen for a Rifle Regiment

Offered is an 1895 Canteen with its cover, issued to a rifle regiment with black carry strap. There is wear along the bottom edge where the wool sleeve has chafed with the carry strap wearing away some of the cover and some minor mothing on the other side. The belt is full length with its original clasp and cork. There is a numeral on the cover "X55". A good example with its original blue enamel. These were worn in South Africa by all Commonwealth Countries.
