1860 Light Cavalry Sabre US marked blade

The 1860 Light Cavalry sabre was the standard sword for the Union Soldier on horse back. It was an improvement in design, even though it looks much like the old 1840 "wrist Breaker" it replaced. The brass hilt has a lovely patina with a clean blade, with normal dulling to its surface.
