M1873 Cavalry Shovel Knife

A very odd piece of kit, the Springfield Armory M1873 Cavalry Entrenching Tool Shovel Knife, for your consideration. Good steel blade with no pitting and only minor discoloration. The wood handle is original, marked US. The leather scabbard is supple and in good condition, also marked US. A good representation of a fairly uncommon tool.  read more

NCO 1860 Cavalry Sword

The standard US Army Cavalry Sabre used in both the Civil War and the Indian Wars. Brass 3 bar hilt, tight with its original grip in good condition. The blade is fine with typical dark patina and wear, unmarked. The scabbard is steel with its original rings, some wear and tear and a brown patina. Overall a good example.  read more

Here is an original USMC dress tunic with Master Sergeant rank and the 4th Marine Division Insignia. During World War II The 4th Marine Base Defense Aircraft Wing was commissioned August 22, 1942, at Marine Corps Air Station Ewa (MCAS Ewa), Hawaii. US Cartridge Belt Late 1890s - possibly by Hulbert

A variant of the Mills equipment belt having slots for ammo and the typical late 19th Century "C" type closure buckle rig of the pattern. Some of the weave has come free, not the best condition, but an affordable example of the web variant. These were issued to the US army and also used in the civilian markets.  read more

Rare US 1872 Dyer 2nd Model Cartridge Pouch - Indian Wars

A solid example of the infantry 1872 ball pouch for both rifle and pistol ammunition used during the Indian Wars of the 1870s. supple black leather in good condition, no maker marks visible. Extremely rare item. Oddly these were meant to be worn on the back of the 1872 Cavalry belt rig that was equipped with a swivel holster for the Remington .50 Cal Pistol.
