1896 Infantry Officer Frock Coat Tailor Made

The 1896 Infantry tunics had blue collars, epaulets and cuffs. This example has no shoulder straps and its rank is displayed on the collar as per pre 1880 regulations. I have noted in many pictures over the years that one officer with collar insignia still in use post 1880. The tunic is of a higher quality cloth, with expected wear and tear from use, including a frayed collar and 2 moth holes. The lining is upgraded unlike the basic depot issued tunics. An odd variation of this standard tunic.
