WWII RCN Battledress Tunic and Pants

Naval personnel were given much leeway in dress during long missions and the dress varied greatly amongst the crew. Much of the clothing had to do with the ship type and weather. One of the most practical forms of dress was the dark navy blue battledress (BD), made in the same configuration as the army BD. This example is for a common seaman issued tunic with faded red Canada flashes. All pockets and buttons are standard for WWII and all buttons are present including the pants that have the first aid pouch pocket. All sorts of headgear was worn with these tunics, but the most common was the standard sea cap. These uniforms were worn by landing craft crews and shore men. No visible labels, no mothing and in great condition.
