1/16th Scale Model of a 100th Foot Soldier (Royal Canadian Rifles c.1845)

A cool model of the uniform and rifle of a member of the Royal Canadian Rifles, a unit that recruited from the Canadian population as a British Regiment. The Regiment was essentially on guard duty along the border in some of the forts dotting the landscape. One of their roles was to hunt down deserters from the British Forces and prevent incursions from the US. The model has a back pack that is damages and in need of repair. I believe it to be hand made and well executed. A great book case decor piece.
