First and Second Pattern Service Pins for WWI

Two examples of the standard service pins issued to soldiers who served overseas in WWI with documents to a Pte CW Smyth, CAMC. The first pattern serial number matches the document, the second one does not. Not sure if this was mixed up within the collection or this is how it came together. Regardless a nice grouping to tell the story. The first pattern is boxed.
