Early Canadian Militia Glengarry Badge - Dug

A dug example, with signs of being unearthed. Soiling on the back and the face having a dark earthy patina with some wear. The lugs are still intact. No idea where this was found, possibly a camp site in Niagara, the trail to Red River, or in the field at Batoche? Who knows. Would be substantially more $ if in better condition. A nice dug example. These were also worn on the Kilmarnock caps, therefore date prior to 1870.
