47th Bn Home Service Helmet

Offered is a 6 Panel helmet with all of its fittings, proper cork venting on the helmet band and its original helmet plate to the 47th Frontenac Bn. The helmet surface is worn and suffers some loss of the white finish surface. Requires some cleaning to bring it back, but a really honest, nice example of a period Canadian Militia helmet maker marked to a Montreal firm. The chin scale requires a leather backing. I would date this to the late 1880s - 1890s. These helmets are very hard to find these days.
